What does skin cancer look like on black people?

My grandmother has a dark spot on her skin that's been there for a while and seems to be changing. We're a bit worried. I know skin cancer can look different on various skin tones, so what does it typically look like on black people?

On darker skin tones, skin cancer often appears in unexpected places like the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, or under the nails. It might look like a dark streak or a patch that grows. As a parent, I always make sure to check my kids' hands and feet carefully and consult our pediatrician.

In darker skin types, we commonly see acral lentiginous melanoma, which looks like a dark brown or black spot on the palms, soles, or under the nails. It can also appear as a firm, raised bump. Please don't assume dark skin is immune; get any new pigment changes evaluated.

Over the years, I have seen that people with dark skin often think they won't get skin issues, but it can happen, usually showing up as a dark patch on the soles of the feet. Don't worry unnecessarily, but do get any unusual dark marks examined by a specialist.

I once ignored a dark patch on my skin thinking it was just a regular pigmentation spot, and it turned out to be a big mistake. On darker skin, it can look like a dark spot on the sole of the foot or a dark line under a fingernail. Please get it checked by a dermatologist immediately.

Dekho, black or dark skin mein skin cancer mostly non-exposed areas pe hota hai, jaise pair ke niche ya nakhun mein. Yeh black or brown color ki line ya patch jaisa dikh sakta hai. Isko normal chot samajh ke ignore mat karo, doctor ko dikha lo.
