What does shoulder pain from lung cancer feel like?

My neighbour has been having a lot of shoulder pain and the doctors are doing tests for lung cancer. She's really worried and I just want to understand what kind of shoulder pain would be linked to something serious like that.

Beta, in my family we saw this. It starts like a normal deep ache that doesn't go away even when you rest or change positions. Please don't panic thinking it's always serious, but definitely show a good specialist to be safe.

I have read about this on many threads. Usually, this shoulder pain is persistent, often spreading down the arm, and isn't like your typical muscle pull that gets better in a week. If you also have a cough or shortness of breath, please book an appointment with a chest specialist immediately.

My grandfather used to say any chest or back pain that spreads to the shoulder needs proper observation. But really, self-diagnosis will only cause tension. It is always best to consult a pulmonologist and do the scans they suggest.

Actually I was reading about this because my uncle had some pain. Apparently, if it's connected to lungs, the pain doesn't change when you move your shoulder around. It is more of a constant, dull, deep pressure. Better to get an X-ray done than guessing online.

Aap bilkul chinta mat kijiye, par laparvahi bhi nahi karni chahiye. Agar kandhe ka dard bohot dino se hai aur thik nahi ho raha, toh sheher ke bade doctor ko dikha lijiye. Bhagwan sab thik karenge.

I delayed getting my chronic back and shoulder pain checked, thinking it was just posture issues, and it led to severe complications later. If the pain doesn't respond to painkillers or rest, please take it seriously. Go to a reputed hospital and get checked immediately.

Please try not to worry too much right now. It is often just a simple muscle strain or joint stiffness. Just visit a doctor nearby so they can check you and make you feel relieved.

No point wasting time waiting for the pain to subside if it's been weeks. When it's linked to serious lung issues, it is usually a deep, non-stop ache. Take a half-day off and get a routine screening done at a reliable clinic.

Let's be direct here. Lung-related shoulder pain happens when a tumor presses on the phrenic nerve, causing referred pain. It won't feel like you strained a muscle at the gym. Skip the home remedies and schedule a proper chest CT scan to be sure.

Honestly, don't search these things on the internet, you will only get scared for no reason. Shoulder pain can be a hundred normal things like a frozen shoulder. Go to a hospital and get a proper diagnosis from a real doctor instead of reading random articles.

Haan na, internet search karo toh directly extreme scenarios hi dikhate hain. But seriously, if the pain is continuous and you feel heavy in your chest, please check with a doc. Just for peace of mind, physical exam karva lo.

In our family, we saw this with an elder relative where the pain felt like a heavy, deep throbbing in the shoulder blade area that didn't go away. I can't say what it is in your case, but that's what we observed before his diagnosis. Definitely see a professional.
