What does passing a kidney stone feel like for men?

My doctor told me I have a small kidney stone and it might pass on its own. I'm really anxious about it. What exactly does passing a kidney stone feel like for men? Is it really as painful as people say?

As someone with a busy schedule, ignoring this pain is impossible. It feels like a sudden, sharp knife stabbing your lower back and moving down towards your groin, which completely halts your workday. Don't waste time trying to tolerate it; go straight to a doctor, get a scan, and get the right medication.

My doctor warned me that high sodium levels can trigger both high BP and kidney stones. The pain feels like an intense, agonizing cramp in the side and groin, which can shoot your blood pressure straight up. Keeping hydrated and doing regular health checkups is the only way to prevent this nightmare.

It is indeed a very testing physical pain, feeling like a sharp, burning sensation as the stone makes its way down to the bladder. Stay calm, keep a positive mind, and drink plenty of pure water to help your body heal. Take proper rest and let the doctors guide you through this process.

Haan bhai, this pain is next level, na! It feels like someone is twisting a knife in your lower back and it shoots straight down to your private parts when you try to pee. Don't sit at home trying to bear it, just go to a doctor and get the proper IV fluids or pain relief.

Passing a stone feels like a sharp, burning ache in the flank and groin area. To prevent this, men should watch their diet—cut down on excess spinach, tomatoes, and heavy salts which form oxalate stones. Drink lots of fresh water and coconut water, but consult a doctor for immediate pain relief.

For men, it feels like a terrible, sharp cramping in the lower back that eventually travels down to the testicles and urethra, making urination extremely painful. A practical solution is to keep a bottle of water with you at all times and get an ultrasound done to see if the stone can pass naturally.
