What does nerve pain feel like in leg?

Since my back surgery, I've been getting these strange sensations in my leg, sometimes it's tingling, sometimes like pins and needles. My physiotherapist said it might be nerve pain. Can someone tell me what nerve pain in the leg usually feels like?

Haan, it feels like a sudden electric current shooting down from your lower back to your foot. Ek dum se shock lagta hai na, and sometimes your foot also feels completely numb. It is actually sciatica pain, so you should consult a doctor soon.

I had this when I herniated a disc at the gym. It is not like normal muscle soreness; it is a sharp, burning, laser-like pain that shoots down the back of your leg. You also get this weird tingling in your toes that doesn't go away when you walk.

I made the mistake of ignoring a mild tingling in my left leg for months, thinking it was just weakness. It turned out to be a severe nerve compression that took almost a year to recover from. Please go see a doctor immediately if you feel any shooting pain or numbness.

It usually presents as a sharp, shooting pain along a specific pathway, often accompanied by a loss of strength or sensation. I logged my symptoms and gait changes on a health tracker app which made it much easier to explain to my physiotherapist. Get it checked before it affects your daily mobility.

Look, if the pain feels like a sudden electric shock or burning that makes it hard to stand, it is nerve pain, not a simple muscle pull. Don't keep rubbin balm on it thinking it will heal. Go to a good orthopedist and get a proper diagnosis.

It feels like a tight, hot cord being pulled tight inside your leg, causing constant throbbing. In my experience, gentle hamstring stretches and deep pranayama can help relax the nerve path and reduce the intensity. Please make sure to do this under professional guidance only.
