What does mouth cancer feel like?

My neighbour was diagnosed with mouth cancer, and it's made me more aware of my own health. I chew paan sometimes, so I'm a bit concerned. What does mouth cancer typically feel like?

My uncle had a sore that just wouldn't heal for more than three weeks, and it looked like a weird red patch. He also felt a slight numbness in his lower lip. It's really scary so dont ignore any long-lasting ulcers guys, just get it checked out.

It often starts as a painless ulcer, white patches, or a hard lump inside the cheek that doesn't go away. Since dealing with my thyroid issues, I have realized how important routine screenings are. If you notice any unusual changes in your mouth, please schedule a proper clinical exam with an ENT specialist immediately.

I was reading up on this recently because of a mouth ulcer I had. Apparently, mouth cancer can feel like a persistent rough spot, a lump, or a sore that bleeds easily and doesn't heal for weeks. It can also cause difficulty in chewing or swallowing, which is a major warning sign.

It can present as painless white or red patches, persistent sores, or difficulty moving your jaw. If you are noticing anything like this, please stay calm and consult a specialist. Early checkups always make things much easier to manage.

Please do not make the mistake of ignoring any persistent patches or sores. I once ignored a chronic irritation thinking it was just a heat ulcer, and it became a big issue later. If you feel any unusual stiffness, persistent pain, or numbness in your mouth, please visit a doctor right now.

Actually, it can feel like a weird thick spot or a sore that keeps bleeding, yaar. Sometimes you might feel pain in your ear or a lump in your neck too. Honestly, if you have any spot in your mouth that looks strange for over two weeks, please get a biopsy done just to be safe.

My grandfather had this. He started having trouble swallowing food and his voice became very hoarse. He had this hard lump under his tongue that didn't hurt at first, but it didn't go away either. If you have any sore that is staying for weeks, go to an ENT doc without waiting.

It usually feels like a painless patch or a sore that doesn't heal even after taking vitamin tablets or changing your toothpaste. Instead of searching online and worrying, the most practical thing is to go to your local dentist. They can easily do a physical check and guide you on the next steps.
