Meningitis ka neck pain normal stiffness jaisa nahi hota, haan. It is extremely severe and you literally cannot touch your chin to your chest because of the pain and stiffness. If you also have a high fever and a headache, please go to the hospital immediately, na.

According to the neurologist we consulted, meningitis neck pain is called nuchal rigidity. It is not like a muscle pull; it is a sudden, rigid stiffness accompanied by photophobia, where light hurts your eyes, and a severe headache. This is a medical emergency, so don't treat it with pain balms.

I thought I had a simple neck sprain from sleeping weirdly after a heavy biryani feast, but a friend told me meningitis neck pain is different. It is so severe that you can't even bend your head forward, and you feel extremely nauseous, making you unable to look at food at all. It requires urgent hospital care.

If someone has severe neck stiffness with high fever, don't waste money on general clinics or local pain sprays. Go straight to a government hospital or a good emergency room because tests like a lumbar puncture might be needed, and they can be expensive in private setups.

My neck has been feeling very stiff since morning and I have a slight headache. I am getting so anxious reading about meningitis symptoms online. Did anyone else have this kind of neck stiffness and it turned out to be just a normal muscle spasm?
