What does mash liver disease stand for?

I heard my doctor mention 'MASH liver disease' during a conversation about liver health, but I didn't catch the full form. Can someone tell me what the acronym MASH stands for in the context of liver disease? I'd like to understand it better.

MASH stands for Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis. It is basically the new medical term for NASH, which is severe fatty liver with inflammation. It is a big wake-up call for anyone with a bad lifestyle or high cholesterol.

My uncle was diagnosed with this recently. It is Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis. My mother suggested some traditional herbs, but we are strictly sticking to the liver specialist's advice and diet plan to prevent any further damage.

Haha, no, it has nothing to do with mashed potatoes! It is just a fancy new name doctors use now, Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis. Basically, it means your liver is storing too much fat and getting angry about it, so time to cut down on those samosas!

As a diabetic, I keep a track of these terms because metabolic health is so connected to sugar levels. MASH is Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis, which is fatty liver with liver cell damage. Controlling your HbA1c is extremely important if you have this.

I ignored my elevated liver enzymes for two years thinking it is just normal fatty liver, and now I regret it because the inflammation has worsened. MASH stands for Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis. Please get a fibroscan done if your doctor advises, do not ignore it like I did.
