What does liver spots look like on the skin?

I've started noticing some brownish spots on my hands and face recently, and my granddaughter called them 'liver spots.' What do liver spots actually look like on the skin? Are they dark or light, and how big do they get?

Liver spots, which are actually just age spots from sun exposure, look like flat, brown, or black oval patches on areas like your face, hands, and shoulders. I got a few on my hands and realized they are harmless, but you must wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to prevent more. Always get a dermatologist to check them to rule out anything serious.

I completely understand the anxiety you get when you suddenly notice new dark spots on your skin and start worrying. These are usually just flat, brown spots from sun exposure and are quite harmless. To put your mind at ease and stop worrying, just get them checked by a friendly dermatologist.

These spots look like flat, oval patches of increased pigmentation, usually light brown to black in color, appearing on the face, hands, and arms. They are generally harmless age spots, but it is always a good practice to protect your skin with a umbrella and sunscreen. If a spot grows or bleeds, see a dermatologist immediately.

They are just flat, harmless little brown or black spots that love to show up on your hands and face as you get older! Don't worry, they are totally painless and very common. Just keep your sunscreen handy and consult a doctor if you notice them changing shape.

They look like flat, painless spots that are brown, grey, or black, and they typically appear on areas of your skin that get the most sun. They don't actually have anything to do with your liver, despite the name. If you are worried, skip the home remedies and consult a dermatologist for proper advice.

Yeh skin pe flat, brown ya dark spots hote hain jo dhoop ki wajah se aate hain, haan na. Inka liver se kuch lena dena nahi hota vaise, bas naam hi waisa hai. Agar aapko tension ho rahi hai toh ek baar skin specialist ko dikha lo, dimaag shant ho jayega.

In our family, elders say these dark brown patches on the hands come from working in the sun and suggest applying sandalwood paste. While sandalwood is very cooling, my doctor explained they are harmless solar lentigines. It is always best to let a dermatologist examine them to be completely sure.

I recently noticed several flat, dark brown spots on my shoulders after a beach holiday and got them checked. The dermatologist confirmed they are benign sun spots, often called liver spots, and are completely harmless. Just wear sunscreen and don't worry, but do get a quick checkup to be certain.

I used to ignore random spots on my skin thinking they were just sun tans, but ignoring skin changes is a big mistake. Liver spots are usually flat, dark brown patches that appear with age, but any new or changing spot should be checked by a doctor. Please get a professional skin screening done just to be safe.

They usually look like small, flat, dark brown or greyish circles on sun-exposed skin, similar to freckles but slightly larger. Managing PCOS has taught me to always check any pigment changes with a specialist. It is best to consult a dermatologist to confirm if they are benign age spots.
