What does kidney pain feel.like?

I've been experiencing a strange discomfort around my lower back area, sometimes radiating to my stomach. I'm worried about my kidneys. Can someone tell me what kidney pain actually feels like?

For me, keeping an eye on kidney health is vital because of my diabetes. Kidney pain usually feels like a deep, dull ache on one side of your upper back, right below the ribs, and it doesn't go away when you change your posture. Please get a routine kidney function test done to keep track of your health.

With my high blood pressure, I always stay alert about kidney symptoms. It usually feels like a heavy pressure or constant throbbing in the flank area, between your ribs and hip. Keeping your BP under control and getting regular doctor checkups is highly necessary to protect your kidneys.

I've learned to be very cautious with body aches because of my hormonal issues. Kidney pain is typically a deep, steady discomfort in the side or back, unlike a typical muscle pull which hurts only when you move. It is always safer to consult a physician to understand what is actually going on.

Let's be clear: kidney pain is a deep, severe ache in your upper back or side, often radiating to the groin. If you have this along with fever or burning urination, don't wait around or try home remedies. Go straight to a specialist and get an ultrasound done.

If you are having a deep ache in your side, don't jump to expensive treatments first. Go to a nearby diagnostic lab, get a simple urine test and kidney ultrasound done for a reasonable cost, and then show it to a family doctor. It saves time and gives you a clear, practical solution.

I was trying to understand this because I have a mild, constant ache on my left side under the ribs, but no other symptoms. Does kidney pain always have to be very sharp, or can it just be a soft, lingering discomfort? I would really appreciate it if anyone could share their thoughts.
