What does ibs pain feel like?

My doctor said I might have IBS, and I often get stomach cramps after eating certain foods. I'm trying to figure out if what I'm feeling is typical for IBS. What does IBS pain feel like for most people?

I am trying to understand my own digestive issues lately. Does IBS pain feel like a sudden, sharp cramping in the lower belly that only goes away after you visit the washroom? I often feel very bloated and uncomfortable after meals.

Beta, it feels like a very tight twisting and swelling in the stomach, like there is too much gas trapped inside. Sometimes you feel like rushing to the toilet, and other times nothing happens. Drinking warm water and avoiding oily heavy foods helps a lot.

Honestly, it's like a rollercoaster in your stomach—one day it's cramping and bloating, and the next day it's totally fine. Don't stress too much about it, buddy. Just track what foods trigger it and keep a check with a good gastroenterologist to manage it easily.

Oh, IBS pain is so stressful because it behaves differently every day. It feels like a sharp, stabbing cramp in your gut that makes you panic and think something is terribly wrong inside. Please try to relax, stress actually makes the gut spasm worse, so take a deep breath.

It feels like a painful spasm or heavy bloating in the lower abdomen. Before you spend a fortune on fancy food intolerance tests or expensive stool panels, start by keeping a basic food diary to see if milk or wheat is causing the issue. It's a much cheaper way to find your triggers.
