What does dry socket pain feel like?

I just had a tooth pulled out yesterday, and today I'm in quite a lot of pain. My dentist mentioned dry socket as a possibility. What does dry socket pain feel like, so I can tell if this is what I have?

Arre beta, dry socket is very painful, my niece had it after her tooth extraction. She said it was a throbbing, aching pain that spread to her ear, eye, and neck. Not a simple toothache at all. She put some clove oil gently on the outside, which helped a little, but the doctor had to properly dress it. Don't neglect such pain.

Dry socket? Oh god, that sounds like something that would ruin all your food plans! I've heard it's like a super intense, throbbing pain in your jaw, not just the tooth area. Makes you not want to eat anything yummy. Definitely sounds like a trip to the dentist for some strong meds!

From what I've learned, dry socket pain is usually a constant, throbbing pain that can be quite severe, often spreading to your ear, temple, or neck. It's a specific post-extraction complication. Like with PCOS, it's something that needs proper medical attention, not just guessing. See your dentist if you suspect this.

I had a dry socket once, and it was excruciating. It was a deep, throbbing pain that extended up to my ear and temple, not just where the tooth was. My mouth also tasted bad. It's not a regular post-extraction ache at all, definitely different. Needed to go back to the dentist to get it sorted.

Dry socket pain is truly awful, it's so much more than just discomfort. It's a radiating, persistent, and very intense ache that can make you feel miserable. The constant throbbing can be emotionally draining. If you're going through this, please know your pain is valid and seek immediate dental help.

Ho na, dry socket pain is really bad. It's like a very sharp, constant throbbing pain right where the tooth was removed, and sometimes it goes to your ear and head. It's not just regular pain after extraction. You can also see a kind of empty hole there. Need to go to the dentist fast for this.
