What does cod liver oil taste like?

My dietician recommended I take cod liver oil, but I'm really sensitive to tastes, especially fishy ones. I'm hesitant to buy it. What does cod liver oil usually taste like?

Haan, taste toh, it's very fishy na. Like, proper machhli ka taste, thoda oily bhi. Best to take the capsules, liquid form is tough for many. Mera bhai toh muh banata hai hamesha!

It tastes quite fishy, very marine. It's an acquired taste for sure. Most people prefer the capsule form to avoid the strong flavor.

Okay, so the taste is definitely... an adventure! 🤪 It's super fishy, quite oily. But hey, it's for good health, so a quick gulp and chase with something strong like juice works! 💪

Ho na, the taste is quite strong, very fishy. Like, you know, sea ka taste. Many people find it difficult to take directly. That's why capsules are so popular.

Honestly, don't stress too much about it, but yeah, it tastes quite fishy and oily. Most of my friends take the capsules for exactly this reason. Just quickly swallow with water, you'll be fine!

I just started taking it a few months ago for my joint pain. The liquid form? Ugh. It tastes exactly like really strong, raw fish, and leaves an aftertaste. Switched to capsules immediately; much, much better experience!

I totally understand why you'd ask about the taste, it's a big deal when you're trying something new! It tastes very much like fish, quite strong and a bit oily. It's why many brands now offer flavored versions or, better yet, softgels to avoid the taste altogether.
