What does bone on bone knee pain feel like?

My knees have been giving me a lot of trouble, especially after walking or standing for long periods. The doctor said it's 'bone on bone' friction. I'm just trying to understand, what does that kind of specific knee pain actually feel like?

Excuse me, I'm new here. Bone on bone knee pain sounds very severe. Is it like a constant grinding feeling? And does it make it really hard to walk or climb stairs? I'm curious if it's different from just regular knee pain people get sometimes.

Bone on bone knee pain is quite distinct. It's usually a persistent, severe pain that feels like bone grinding on bone, and it can limit your mobility significantly. Just like with thyroid, these conditions need proper diagnosis and regular follow-up with a specialist. Don't ignore severe joint pain; get tests done to understand the underlying issue.

Oh, bone-on-bone knee pain, I know it well. It's a deep, grinding pain that often feels like two rough surfaces rubbing together inside your knee. You'll hear popping or cracking sounds sometimes, and the pain is constant, especially with movement, bending, or climbing stairs. It gets worse as the day progresses. Rest and anti-inflammatories help a little, but eventually, you need a doctor for proper diagnosis and management.

Namaste. When there is bone on bone contact in the knee, the pain can be quite sharp and debilitating. It often feels like a constant ache that worsens with movement, and you might experience stiffness and reduced flexibility. Gentle movements and finding ways to support the knee without direct impact are key, but a good orthopaedic doctor is essential to guide you.

If your knee is bone on bone, the pain is usually pretty intense. It's not just a muscle ache from a workout. It feels like a deep, grating pain, especially when you put weight on it or move the joint. You'd likely feel stiffness and limited range of motion too. Proper strength training for the muscles around the knee can help support it, but for bone-on-bone, you really need a specialist to assess the damage and guide treatment.
