What does a silent migraine feel like?

I often get what feels like a migraine, but without the usual throbbing head pain. My vision gets blurry and I feel really disoriented. Is this what a 'silent migraine' is, and what does it feel like for others?

My neurologist explained that a silent migraine, also called migraine with aura without headache, means you get all the sensory disturbances but no actual head pain. I usually experience visual aura like zigzag lines or flashing lights, numbness on one side of my body, or even temporary speech difficulty. It can be really disorienting.

Oh, beta, I remember having those episodes many years ago. It felt like my vision would get blurry, or sometimes a strange tingling in my hands, but no headache like a regular migraine. It used to scare me, but the doctor said it's just a type of migraine. It usually passes.

Please, if you suspect this, see a doctor. I used to get strange visual disturbances and numbness, dismissing it as stress. Later, turns out it was silent migraines, and they need proper diagnosis to rule out anything more serious. Don't self-diagnose, okay?

My daughter gets them sometimes. She says it's like a weird shimmering in her eyes, or she finds it hard to read for a few minutes. No pain, just very unsettling. We just make sure she rests in a quiet, dark room until it passes. Always good to discuss with her pediatrician too, of course.

Oh, this is interesting. So it's basically all the weird sensory stuff of a migraine, but without the headache? I've heard of people seeing bright spots or having trouble speaking. It sounds quite freaky, honestly. Good to know what to look out for.

I have thyroid issues, and sometimes I get these strange 'auras' without a headache. My endocrinologist said it can be related to hormonal fluctuations, but also stressed the importance of ruling out other neurological causes. Always good to get your blood work done and follow up with a specialist if you have underlying conditions.
