What does a kidney infection feel like?
I've been feeling some discomfort lately, and I'm trying to figure out if it's just a normal backache or something else. What does a kidney infection feel like? Should I be worried?

Listen, don't stress too much right now, but a kidney infection usually feels like a really bad ache in your lower back, sometimes on just one side. You might also feel super shivering-cold and have a fever that comes on out of nowhere. If you are feeling this, just go see a doctor immediately instead of trying home remedies.
I literally just recovered from this last month and it was awful. For me, it started with a burning feeling when peeing, but within a day it became a deep, throbbing pain in my side and lower back. I also had nausea and felt so weak I couldn't even stand up. Please get a urine test done quickly if you have these.
Honestly, it is nothing like a normal backache. I had it last year and the pain was so sharp in my lower back that I couldn't lie down comfortably. Plus, I had high fever and felt like throwing up constantly. If your pee is also looking cloudy or smells weird, go to a clinic dude.
I have dealt with this twice in the past. It feels like a dull, heavy pressure in your flank area that doesn't go away even when you change positions. Keep a watch on your body temperature because kidney infections almost always bring a high fever with chills. Drink plenty of water but make sure you start the doctor's antibiotics on time.
It usually feels like an intense, deep ache in your lower back combined with shivering cold fever and nausea. Please consult a doctor immediately if you have these symptoms.

Look, don't ignore this thinking it's just a regular body ache or fatigue. A kidney infection will make you feel shivering cold, and you will have severe pain on one side of your lower back, just under the ribs. Go straight to a proper doctor and get it checked today, don't do any self-treatment here.
When I had it, I completely lost my appetite and even the smell of my favourite biryani made me nauseous. The pain in my lower back was so intense that I couldn't even sit at the dining table. It definitely feels much worse than a normal stomach bug or UTIs, so get a doctor to check it out.
