What does a fever seizure look like?

My younger cousin had a really high fever last night, and his parents said he had a 'fever seizure'. I was quite scared. What does a fever seizure look like in a child?

Haan, yeh sach mein bahut scary lagta hai dekhne mein, bacha bilkul behosh ho jata hai aur body kaapne lagti hai. But don't panic, na. Usually yeh ek-do minute mein khud hi ruk jata hai, par aapko seedha doctor ke paas jaana chahiye checkup ke liye.

A febrile seizure can look terrifying; the child's body will suddenly go stiff, their eyes might roll back, and their arms and legs will twitch or shake. If this happens, don't try to put anything or any home remedy in their mouth. Just turn them gently onto their side, stay calm, and take them to a doctor immediately.

A febrile seizure involves loss of consciousness, twitching of limbs, and rigidity due to a rapid rise in body temperature. Even though most febrile seizures are benign, any episode of seizure must be evaluated by a pediatrician immediately at a hospital to rule out serious infections like meningitis.

My younger cousin had this once and it was super scary to watch. His eyes rolled up and he was shaking uncontrollably for like a minute. If you ever see this, just make sure they are on a soft surface so they don't hurt themselves, and call a doctor right away.

During a febrile seizure, a child may lose consciousness, shake violently on both sides of the body, and their skin might look slightly pale or bluish. While it is usually harmless and passes quickly, it is a medical emergency for a parent. Please seek immediate medical help to ensure it is just a simple fever seizure.
