What does a fever look like?

My little daughter feels warm, and I'm trying to figure out if she has a fever or if it's just the weather. What does a fever look like, physically speaking?

A person with a fever usually looks very flushed with red cheeks, watery or glassy eyes, and they might be shivering under a blanket even if the room is warm. They also look visibly exhausted and weak. If you see someone looking like this, it's time to check their temperature.

Visually, you'll see pale skin, shivering, and sweating. Instead of running to a expensive hospital immediately, keep a digital thermometer at home to track the reading. If it stays high for 3 days, then plan for a basic CBC test which costs around 300 rupees to see what is causing it.

Chehre pe thakaan dikhti hai, aankhein laal aur gili ho jaati hain, aur shareer bilkul garam hota hai. Humare yahan toh log sarr pe thandi patti rakhte hain jab aisa dikhta hai. Thoda aaram karein aur doctor babu ko zaroor dikhayein.

You basically look like a zombie, honestly. Your eyes are half-closed and glassy, your face is red, and you are sweating but still shivering. If my roommate looks like that, I immediately know he is down with a high temperature and need to get him some meds.

A fever shows up as flushed skin, sweating, and rapid breathing because your metabolic rate spikes to fight the bug. Your muscles will look flat due to dehydration, so make sure to drink plenty of water with electrolytes to keep your body hydrated.

A fever just makes you look super tired with droopy, watery eyes and a red face. Don't stress too much, yaar! Just get a thermometer, check the temp, take a crocin if it's high, and sleep it off. You'll be absolutely fine in a couple of days.
