What does a failed tb test look like?

I had a TB test recently for work, and the results came back ambiguous, so they said I need to re-test. I'm a bit confused about what happened. What does a failed TB test look like on the arm?

If you mean a positive skin test, it usually looks like a raised, hard red bump where they did the injection. Don't worry, your immune system is just reacting. Focus on keeping your nutrition high with good protein and rest while you get it checked by a doc.

I totally get it, waiting for these test results can be so stressful. A positive Mantoux skin test will have a firm, swollen bump on your arm, not just redness. If you see that, please take a deep breath and consult your doctor; it's very treatable.

Man, my sleep has been completely gone thinking about medical tests lately. If the skin test 'fails' or comes back positive, you'll see a hard, swollen red circle on your forearm after 48-72 hours. Just get a doctor to read it instead of staring at your arm all night like I did.

A positive TB skin test isn't just a flat red mark, it is a hard, itchy bump that feels like a mosquito bite on steroids. My sister had one years ago during her visa process. Don't scratch it, just let the hospital staff measure it properly.

Haan, skin test positive hone pe wahan ek chhota sa sakht bump ban jata hai, simple redness ko positive nahi maante. It's better to let the lab technician measure the induration, na. Tenshun mat lo, modern medicines are very advanced now.

I just finished my TB treatment course last month! When my skin test was positive, the bump was about 15mm wide and felt quite hard under the skin. Don't panic if yours looks like that; a positive test often just means exposure, and the chest X-ray is what confirms everything.

A positive test will show a distinct swelling on the skin after two-three days. While you must follow the doctor's English medicines if it is positive, you can also drink warm turmeric milk to help build your body's natural immunity during this stressful time.
