What does a cirrhotic liver look like?

My brother has cirrhosis of the liver and we are learning more about his condition. I'm trying to understand the severity. What does a cirrhotic liver look like, like what are the visual changes?

My uncle had this, and on the ultrasound screen, his liver looked super bumpy and shrunken. A healthy liver is supposed to be smooth, but cirrhosis turns it all scarred and nodular. Seriously guys, watch your alcohol intake and eating habits before things get bad.

Medically, a cirrhotic liver looks shriveled, tough, and covered with scar tissue instead of being smooth and reddish-brown. Keeping a clean diet, avoiding fatty foods, and working out can prevent liver issues, but once it reaches cirrhosis, you need strict medical management.

A cirrhotic liver looks uneven and has lots of scar tissue on medical scans. Don't worry, just stay positive and consult a good specialist who can guide you on the right path! 🌟

I agree with others, it looks very scarred, irregular, and shrunk on medical scans. Please get a fibroscan or ultrasound done to check the actual stage of liver health.

It looks bumpy and scarred on medical imaging, quite different from a healthy liver. Please take care of yourself and follow up with a gastroenterologist.

I got my liver reports yesterday and the doctor mentioned mild fatty changes, which has made me so anxious about cirrhosis. Does cirrhosis look like complete scarring on ultrasound? Has anyone else here managed to reverse early stage liver damage?
