First of all, take a deep breath and relax. Usually, you can't even see a cancer lump from the outside unless it has grown quite big under the skin. If it is visible, it might look like a firm swelling or make the skin over it look slightly dimpled, like an orange peel. Just book a quick appointment with a good doc so we can be absolutely sure, okay?
You can't really judge what it is just by looking, as many harmless cysts also look like bumps under the skin. Sometimes the skin over it might look red, thick, or pulled inwards, but only medical scans can tell the truth. Please do not delay and get a proper medical examination done immediately.

Visually, you might just see a slight bulge or asymmetry, but you can't tell the difference by eyes alone. Best is to go for regular sonograms or blood tests as advised by your doctor to keep track of any changes.
Most cancerous lumps actually lie deep within the tissue and are not visible to the naked eye at early stages. If it is closer to the surface, it might look like an asymmetrical protrusion without clear borders. Self-diagnosis will only cause unnecessary panic, so consulting an oncologist or general surgeon is the best approach.
In our family, elders always say to watch out for any sudden growth or change in the skin's texture. Sometimes a cancerous area can look like a firm, uneven bump that doesn't go away. However, we always believe in visiting the hospital promptly for an official scan to rule out any issues.

Dealing with hormonal issues like PCOS has taught me never to assume anything about my body. A lump might not look like anything unusual at all, maybe just a small raised area under the skin. Since we are not experts, it's safer to let a specialist do an ultrasound rather than guessing ourselves.
