What doctor treats migraine?

I've been suffering from terrible migraines for months now, and paracetamol isn't helping anymore. My GP suggested seeing a specialist. Which type of doctor usually treats chronic migraines?

A neurologist is the right specialist for migraines. I have high BP and get severe headaches, so my doctor always stresses keeping my blood pressure and daily sleep routine fully managed to avoid migraine triggers.

I tried putting ice packs on my forehead, staying in a dark room, and drinking ginger tea, but nothing worked for long. Honestly, only a neurologist can help you find the right preventive medication for severe migraines.

I suffered from terrible migraines for thirty years until I finally saw a good neurologist. With the right medicine and a calm routine, my headaches reduced drastically. There is hope, just see a specialist.

You should visit a neurologist for chronic migraines. Since hormonal imbalances can sometimes trigger headaches, keeping your thyroid levels and other blood tests updated is also helpful for your doctor's assessment.

Don't suffer in silence or keep popping over-the-counter painkillers, as they can cause rebound headaches. Consult a neurologist who can give you a proper treatment plan to manage the pain safely.

Go see a neurologist! They can help you figure out what's causing those nasty headaches. Meanwhile, try to keep hydrated and avoid bright screens when you feel a headache starting 🌸

I was looking up headaches because my colleague gets them often. Turns out you need to see a neurologist because they handle brain-related issues, including migraines. Hope you find some relief!
