What doctor treats arthritis?

My mother is having a lot of trouble with joint pain, especially in her knees and fingers. The local doctor said it's likely arthritis. What kind of doctor actually treats arthritis properly?

Honestly, just start by visiting your family general physician first. They can do some basic blood tests like RA factor and then refer you to the right specialist so you don't waste money and time running around.

For mild joint aches, daily warm sesame oil massage and adding haldi-methi to your diet helps a lot. But if the pain is severe or swelling doesn't go down, please see a rheumatologist immediately. Don't rely only on home remedies for chronic joint issues.

Consult a rheumatologist

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my aunt has bad knee pain. It seems a rheumatologist is the main specialist for autoimmune arthritis, while orthopedic doctors handle physical wear and tear. Hope you find some relief soon!

I have been dealing with this for five years now, and the best specialist for this is a rheumatologist. Orthopedic doctors are great for bone fractures or joint surgeries, but for chronic arthritis pain and stiffness, a rheumatologist is the real expert.

You should consult a rheumatologist for proper diagnosis. I actually use a health tracker to log my daily steps and joint flare-ups, which really helps my doctor see how my body is responding to the treatment plan.
