What doctor for shoulder pain?

I've been having this persistent shoulder pain for the last couple of weeks, and it's making daily activities quite difficult. I think I need to see a doctor about it. Which type of doctor usually deals with shoulder pain?

I have been having this dull ache in my left shoulder for a week and I am so worried if it's something serious. Has anyone else felt this, and did you go to an orthopedician or a physiotherapist first?

I ignored a minor shoulder catch which eventually turned into a severe frozen shoulder that required months of painful physical therapy. Please see an orthopedician early to avoid complications.

When I injured my shoulder lifting heavy bags, I consulted an orthopedic doctor. He suggested a few days of rest and some basic stretching under a physiotherapist, which really helped.

An orthopedician is the right doctor to diagnose any shoulder issues. Once they rule out any tear or injury, gentle yoga poses like Sukhasana with shoulder rolls can help keep the joint flexible.

Don't worry too much, it is usually just a muscle strain from sleeping in a weird position. Go see an Orthopedician; they will check if it is a ligament issue or just a spasm and put you at ease.

My shoulder hurts now just from sleeping wrong or waving at someone! You should visit an orthopedician to find out if it's aging or a real muscle pull.
