What do you smell before a heart attack?

My uncle had a heart attack a few months ago, and he mentioned feeling very strange just before it happened. He couldn't quite explain it. I was curious, is there anything specific you might smell before a heart attack or something like that?

Actually, my doctor explained that smelling something weird or phantom smells is not a typical symptom of a heart attack. Classic signs are chest pain radiating to the arm, sweating, and breathlessness, which require emergency help immediately.

I monitor my vitals on my smartwatch daily, and I've read that heart issues don't usually start with smells. If you feel any sudden chest tightness, high heart rate, or dizziness, please check into an ER instead of searching about smells.

If you are feeling unwell, don't wait around wondering about weird symptoms. Better to get an ECG done at a local lab for 300-400 rupees than to risk an expensive emergency ICU bill later.

Honestly, smelling phantom things is more related to neurological issues or migraines, not heart problems. If you or a family member are feeling sick or breathless, please call an ambulance right away.

When my teenager had sudden chest tightness, we didn't wait to see if it was a smell or stomach issue. We ran to the clinic, and thankfully it was just acidity, but with the heart, we must always be 100% safe.

While simple ginger tea helps with mild gas acidity that people mistake for heart pain, a real heart attack doesn't have home remedies or smell warnings. Please go to a hospital immediately if there is any chest heaviness.

As a diabetic, I have to be very careful because we can have silent heart attacks without typical chest pain. I have never heard of a smell warning, so please get a proper medical checkup if you feel even slightly off.

Unless you are smelling the delicious cheese parathas your doctor told you to avoid, smells aren't a warning sign. Just keep an eye on actual chest pain or heavy sweating and stay relaxed!
