What do you call a diabetic specialist?

My uncle was recently diagnosed with diabetes and his family doctor recommended he see a specialist. I want to help him find the right person. What do you call a medical doctor who specializes in treating diabetes?

They are called endocrinologists! Basically, the sweet-detective doctors who tell us to stay away from gulab jamuns. Don't worry, they are very helpful in keeping our sugar levels in check.

An endocrinologist is the specialist you need to consult for diabetes. Apart from prescribing insulin or tablets, they help you structure your diet and monitor HbA1c levels. Make sure you don't skip your routine checkups.

Hey! It's called an endocrinologist. My dad goes to one every few months to keep his sugar levels under control. It is basically a hormone specialist doctor.

The correct term is an endocrinologist. My physician explained that while a general doctor can manage basic diabetes, an endocrinologist specializes in the entire endocrine system and hormone-related disorders, which is crucial for long-term care.

They are known as endocrinologists. For basic sugar control, a good family physician or diabetologist is also a great, practical starting point to get your daily medicine doses sorted without too much hassle.

An endocrinologist is the specialist for this. Since their consultation fees can be higher, it is smart to get your fasting and PP blood sugar tests done beforehand from a local lab to save time and money during the appointment.
