What do u smell before a stroke?

My uncle recently had a stroke, and now I'm paying more attention to any unusual symptoms. I've heard that sometimes people can smell certain things before a stroke occurs. Is that true, and what kinds of smells would that be?

Bro, with only 3 hours of sleep, I mostly smell burnt coffee, but honestly, smelling random things like burnt toast is more of a seizure or migraine thing than a stroke. If someone is having a stroke, look for facial drooping or slurred speech, and run to the hospital immediately!

I was reading an article on stroke symptoms and apparently, smelling phantom odors (like burning rubber or chemicals) is actually quite rare for a stroke. It is usually more related to neurological issues like aura migraines. If you suspect a stroke, look out for sudden weakness instead.

When my uncle had a stroke, he didn't mention smelling anything unusual at all; his face just suddenly went numb on one side. We immediately took him to the emergency room, which saved his life. Every case can be different, so it is always best to ask a doctor.

At my age, I smell trouble everywhere, but joke apart, smelling weird things isn't the main stroke sign. Look out for the classic symptoms like arm weakness or speech trouble. If those happen, don't wait to smell anything, just rush to the nearest casualty ward.

Most people do not actually smell anything before a stroke, but if you feel sudden numbness or trouble speaking, please go to a hospital immediately.
