What do skin cancer moles look like?

I have quite a few moles, and I always keep an eye on them. I was wondering, what are the characteristics of moles that might indicate skin cancer? What do they look like?

They often look irregular, with uneven borders and shades of dark brown or black. Keeping your mind calm through deep breathing helps you face health checks with courage, so do visit a skin doctor to get it examined calmly.

I read that they are usually uneven in shape and have dark or mixed colors. I have a small, dark mole on my arm that has been there for years but hasn't changed. Do moles that are totally normal also sometimes look a bit irregular?

Remember the ABCDE rule: look for Asymmetry, irregular Borders, shifting Colors, a Diameter larger than a pencil eraser, and any Evolution or change over time. If a mole has any of these signs, get it checked by a dermatologist.

My brother had a mole on his back that started off small but became dark and jagged around the edges. We didn't take any chances and took him to a skin specialist who removed it, and thankfully it was caught very early.

They are typically asymmetrical, multi-colored, and have rough borders. Please do not trust any homemade pastes or internet remedies to dissolve or treat moles. Go to an actual dermatologist and get a proper professional assessment.

They usually have uneven shapes, jagged edges, or multiple colors mixed together. While you are keeping up with your daily walks and fitness routine to stay healthy, make sure you take an hour out to get any suspicious mole evaluated by a skin specialist.

These moles are usually asymmetrical with blurry, jagged borders and might change color or grow over time! 🔎 It is always best to let a dermatologist take a quick look under their special lens to make sure everything is completely fine! 😊
