What do piles look like photos?

My uncle is suffering from piles and he's finding it hard to describe what they are. I'm trying to understand the condition better to help him, so I wanted to ask, what do piles look like generally, maybe through photos if possible?

In medical photos, they look like small, soft, pinkish-blue swellings or skin tags around the anal opening. Because I manage diabetes, I must avoid infections, so I don't rely on online photos. I went straight to my doctor to get it checked and focused on a high-fiber, low-sugar diet to keep my digestion smooth.

Those photos usually show severe, swollen red or purple lumps, but mild piles just look like small, soft skin folds. I tried many home remedies like warm water tubs and sitz baths which helped soothe them. But if they look very dark or bleed in real life, skip the remedies and see a doctor.

I got so terrified after searching for photos because they show such extreme, painful-looking red lumps. In reality, most common cases are just tiny, soft skin-colored bumps that are barely noticeable. Please don't stress yourself out looking at those scary online medical pictures.

Honestly, Google photos of piles are literally nightmarish and make you think the worst. For most people, they are just tiny, soft, annoying skin-colored bumps that go away with a change in diet. Don't freak out by looking at those textbook images.

They seem to look like small, soft pinkish folds of skin in the diagrams I found. I am a bit embarrassed to ask, but do they always hurt, or can they just be there without causing any pain? I would really appreciate if someone could guide me.
