What do lungs look like with asthma?

My younger brother has asthma, and sometimes his breathing gets really bad. I'm trying to understand the condition better, specifically how it affects his lungs internally.

They look totally normal on outside, but from inside the breathing tubes get very swollen and narrow, ho na. It is like trying to breathe through a very thin straw instead of a pipe. That is why the doctor gives inhalers to open up those tubes quickly.

On the inside, the airways become red, swollen, and filled with sticky mucus, which makes it super hard to breathe. I have had mild asthma since childhood, and keeping my room dust-free and using my inhaler has made a huge difference. Don't worry, it is very manageable once you find your triggers.

Basically, the lungs look completely fine on a normal X-ray, but inside, the airways are just super inflamed and tight. It's like your throat is throwing a tantrum because of some dust or cold weather. Just keep your inhaler handy and you'll be totally fine.

The delicate airways within the lungs simply become narrow and congested, making the breath heavy. Just stay positive, keep your mind calm, and practice gentle deep breathing when you are feeling well. Taking care of your health is a beautiful way to honor life.

Inside, the lung pathways become severely constricted and blocked with thick mucus. Please do not take this lightly; I once ignored a tight chest and ended up in the ICU with a severe asthma attack. If you are struggling to breathe, go to a doctor immediately and get the proper inhalers prescribed.
