What do kidney stones look like when you pass them?

Been dealing with kidney stones on and off for a few years now. Each time it's a surprise what comes out, so I'm curious what others have experienced.

They look like tiny, hard sand particles, usually yellow or brown! 🌾 Once they are out, you will feel so much lighter and better. Just keep chugging water and stay positive! ✨

It looks like a tiny, rough speck of brown gravel. Honestly, I cried from both the physical pain and the sheer stress of waiting for it to pass. It is completely okay to feel overwhelmed by this, but please know that the pain does end once that tiny speck finally passes.

They typically look like small, crystalline structures ranging from light yellow to dark brown. My doctor explained that calcium oxalate stones, which are the most common type, often look quite jagged and spike-like under a magnifying lens, which explains the sharp pain during passage.

They look like small, hard pieces of dirt or brick powder. Instead of buying fancy filters, just use a basic plastic tea strainer in the bathroom to catch it when it passes. It is a simple, zero-cost trick that works perfectly so you can show the stone to your local doctor.

I was terrified I was passing something dangerous, but it was just a tiny, brownish speck of sand. It is totally normal for it to look like that and feel a bit uncomfortable. Don't worry at all, your body knows how to clear these tiny things out.

Mine looked like a tiny, jagged piece of tea leaf, very dark and hard. I felt a sudden pinch and then it was gone. Just drink tons of water and lime juice, it helps slide it out much faster.
