What do kidney stones look like on toilet paper?

A friend of mine said they saw a tiny, gritty thing on their toilet paper after urinating, and it turned out to be a kidney stone. I'm having some discomfort, so I'm wondering what to watch out for.

They just look like tiny, hard brown specks, almost like a piece of black pepper or dirt that got stuck there. Honestly, I didn't even realize it was a stone at first until I touched it and it felt super hard. Don't stress too much, it is usually really tiny when it comes out like that.

They look like tiny yellowish or brown grains, very small. If you find one, save it in a clean box because sending that stone for analysis is much cheaper than getting repeated expensive CT scans done. It helps the doctor pinpoint the exact diet changes you need so you save money on medicines later.

It usually looks like a small brown sand crystal or gravel piece. Keep an eye on your daily hydration levels; I always carry my 2-liter bottle to make sure I am flushing my system properly during workouts. High protein diets sometimes need extra water intake to prevent these.

On toilet paper, it will appear as a tiny, hard speck of yellow, orange, or brown. Since I have diabetes, I have to be very careful with my kidneys and avoid sugary drinks or soda to pass it. Stick to plain water or unsweetened lime juice if you are trying to flush it out.

It will look like a tiny, solid crystal, sometimes with sharp edges, ranging from light tan to dark brown. If you notice any pink or red stains on the paper alongside it, that is just minor irritation from the stone passing. Keep drinking fluids, but if the bleeding is heavy, please see your doctor.

Even if it looks like a tiny harmless speck of sand, do not ignore it. Sometimes passing a small stone means there are bigger ones still sitting inside. Please get a basic ultrasound done at a proper lab to make sure your kidneys are completely clear and safe.

They look like small, crystalline grains of sand, dark brown or amber-colored. I actually logged the day I passed mine in my health tracker app to monitor my symptoms. Tracking your water intake daily on an app really helps make sure you are getting enough volume to prevent the next one.
