What do asthma inhalers do?

My younger sister was recently diagnosed with asthma, and the doctor prescribed an inhaler. I'm not familiar with them at all. Can someone explain what asthma inhalers actually do to help with breathing?

They actually send the medicine straight to your lungs to open up the tight airways when you feel breathless. I get so nervous during asthma attacks and sometimes feel my heart beating fast after using it. Does anyone else also feel that sudden jitteriness?

I can only speak from my own experience with breathing issues. For me, the blue inhaler works instantly during a sudden coughing fit, while the preventer one keeps my daily wheezing under control. It is best to ask a pulmonologist about how they work for your specific case.

Asthma inhalers either relax the muscle spasms in your airways immediately or reduce the swelling over time. If you have been wheezing or coughing constantly, please don't delay. Schedule a quick 10-minute online consult with a chest specialist and get the right one prescribed.

Inhalers work by expanding your bronchial tubes so you can breathe easily. Along with taking whatever inhaler your doctor prescribes, try avoiding cold foods and curd at night, as some people find it triggers their congestion.

They basically clear out the airway blockages so oxygen can flow into your lungs properly. As someone who trains hard, using the prescribed inhaler before heavy cardio helps me a lot. Keeping your stamina up with regular, light cardio also strengthens your lungs over time.
