What diseases start with hand pain?

I've been having persistent pain in my hands lately, especially in the mornings. It's getting a bit concerning. I was wondering if there are any specific diseases where hand pain is one of the first symptoms.

Oh, hand pain can be so annoying! Sometimes it's just from typing too much, but actual diseases... I think carpal tunnel syndrome can start with hand pain, right? And arthritis, obviously. My grandma complains about her hands a lot, it must be tough.

Hand pain can be a sign of many things. Common ones are different types of arthritis, like rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. Carpal tunnel syndrome also starts in the hands. With high BP, I know how important it is to address symptoms early, so get hand pain checked too. It's all connected to overall health.

My hands always ache after a day of gardening, but sometimes it's more! 😂 Hand pain can be the first sign of arthritis (osteo or rheumatoid), or even carpal tunnel syndrome from all the computer work. Don't ignore it like I used to. My doctor told me to stretch more.

My doctor actually explained this to me when I had persistent hand numbness. Diseases that often manifest first with hand pain include different types of arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and psoriatic arthritis. Carpal tunnel syndrome, where a nerve in the wrist is compressed, is also a very common cause. Less commonly, gout or even nerve issues in the neck can refer pain to the hands.
