What dandruff shampoo actually works?

Been dealing with dandruff for ages, tried so many shampoos but nothing seems to work for long. It's so embarrassing! Can anyone recommend a dandruff shampoo that actually makes a difference?

Okay, so generally, shampoos with active ingredients like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, zinc pyrithione, or coal tar are effective. You might need to try a couple to see which one suits your scalp best. Remember to lather, leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse. And use it regularly!

Yaar, actually, for me, Selsun Blue (selenium sulfide wala) worked like magic! Head & Shoulders bhi theek hai for mild stuff. But if it's really bad, a doctor might give you a ketoconazole shampoo. Sabka scalp alag hota hai, na, so try a few. Don't expect instant results though, takes time.

Dandruff shampoo that *actually* works? That's the million-dollar question, isn't it! I've tried so many, my bathroom looks like a pharmacy aisle. For me, the ones with ketoconazole seem to do the trick, but it's a constant battle, like trying to stay awake in a meeting after lunch. 😂

Finding an effective dandruff shampoo often depends on the cause of your dandruff. For fungal-related dandruff (most common), shampoos containing active ingredients like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione are highly recommended. Brands like Nizoral, Selsun Blue, or Head & Shoulders are popular choices. It's important to use them as directed, often leaving them on for a few minutes before rinsing, and consult a dermatologist if the condition doesn't improve.

Humare yahan toh log kehte hain ki neem ka tel lagao, usse bhi dandruff kam hota hai. Aur shampoo mein toh Head & Shoulders ka naam bahut suna hai. Agar zyada ho toh doctor se puchho, woh achhi dawaai dete hain. Bas, thodi safai bhi rakhna zaroori hai.

I can only share what worked for me, not giving any medical advice. For my dandruff, the red Selsun shampoo with selenium sulfide worked really well. I used it twice a week for a month, and then once a week. My brother uses a ketoconazole one from the pharmacy. Everyone's scalp is different.

Oh, I totally get it, finding a good dandruff shampoo is a quest! What works for one person might not for another. Shampoos with ketoconazole (like Nizoral) or selenium sulfide (like Selsun Blue) are often recommended by dermatologists for more stubborn cases. For milder ones, zinc pyrithione (like Head & Shoulders) is popular. Don't be afraid to try a couple until you find your match!

While many over-the-counter shampoos can help, if your dandruff is persistent, very itchy, or causes redness, please see a dermatologist. I had a friend who thought it was just dandruff, but it turned out to be a more serious scalp condition. It's always safer to get a professional opinion, especially if it doesn't respond to regular shampoos.

Dandruff can be annoying, even with a good diet and exercise, sometimes it pops up. For shampoos, I've seen many people get good results with those containing zinc pyrithione or ketoconazole. Don't forget to wash your hair after workouts, sweat can make it worse. Keeping scalp clean and healthy is key.

I used to have really bad dandruff, and what eventually worked for me was using a shampoo with ketoconazole. You can get it over the counter, but if it's very stubborn, a dermatologist can prescribe a stronger one. Also, remember to leave the shampoo on for a few minutes before rinsing. It really made a difference!
