What component is not necessary for successful compost piles?

I'm trying to start a compost pile in my garden to reduce waste, but I'm new to this. My neighbor told me there are certain things that aren't good to add. What component is actually not necessary for a successful compost pile to work properly?

Oh, composting! I used to panic thinking I needed all these specific things. But actually, you don't need a fancy compost activator. Just good old kitchen scraps, garden waste, and some soil is enough to get it going naturally. The microbes do their work eventually.

Honestly, the only thing not necessary is that super fancy, expensive compost bin! I'm more of a 'just throw it all in a heap' kind of guy, especially after a big biryani night with lots of leftover onion peels, haha. As long as you have organic stuff, it will work. Maybe not as fast, but it will.

Many 'experts' online will tell you to add this and that, but a lot of it is unnecessary. You definitely don't need specific 'compost starters' or expensive commercial bins. Nature knows what to do if you give it the basics. Always verify what you read online with gardening experts, just like with health advice.

Why spend extra money on things that aren't essential? Commercial compost starters are totally unnecessary. Save that money! You just need a good mix of carbon (browns) and nitrogen (greens), some water, and air. Keep it simple and budget-friendly.

Beta, when we were young, we just threw our kitchen waste in a corner of the garden. No special 'components' needed! Just air, moisture, and a mix of greens and browns. So, don't worry too much about fancy additives; they are not necessary.

For a good compost pile, you actually don't need any meat or dairy products. In fact, they can attract pests and slow down the process, plus they don't break down well. Stick to plant-based waste – fruit and veggie peels, leaves, coffee grounds. That's the best for your garden and for health, really.

My grandmother used to say, nature takes care of itself. So, no need for those chemical additives or compost activators. Just keep the browns and greens balanced, water it a little, and give it air. That's what I follow. For serious things, of course, consult the experts, but for composting, simple is best.
