What color are kidney stones when they pass?

My brother has kidney stones and is expecting to pass one soon. He's a bit anxious, and we were discussing them. I was wondering, what color are kidney stones typically when they pass?

They can be many colors actually! From light yellow or tan to dark brown or even reddish if there's blood. It really depends on what minerals they're made of. If you pass one, try to save it for your doctor to check.

Dekho, kidney stone ka color varies. Peele, bhoore, kaale bhi ho sakte hain. Jo bhi ho, doctor ko dikhao. Analysis karwana zaroori hai. Self-diagnosis mat karo.

After the pain of passing one, honestly, the color is the last thing you're thinking about! But yes, they can be yellowish, brownish, even dark. Mine looked like a tiny, angry pebble. Just make sure you consult your urologist.

I've always wondered about this, too. Some people say they're dark, others say light. Is it true they can be reddish if there's blood? That sounds really scary. Anyone else felt really anxious about the whole passing stone process?
