It is so scary to think about these things, but from what I read, HPV infection is a major risk factor. Also, chronic skin conditions in that area can sometimes lead to it. Please go get a screening if you are feeling any unusual itching or bumps.

I was looking this up recently out of curiosity. Apparently, it's quite rare and mostly affects older women, though HPV-related cases can happen in younger women too. Regular Pap smears and pelvic exams are super important.

Vulvar cancer is primarily linked to persistent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections and sometimes smoking or aging. Don't waste time looking up symptoms online; just schedule a proper gynecological exam to get accurate answers.

Any persistent itching, pain, soreness, or changes in the skin color of the vulva should be evaluated by a gynecologist immediately. While it can be caused by HPV or chronic inflammation, only a biopsy can confirm the diagnosis.

At my age, every little itch makes me wonder! But seriously, vulvar cancer can develop from untreated skin conditions like lichen sclerosus. Best to let a lady doctor take a look instead of stressing ourselves out.
