What causes tooth pain?

Been having this dull ache in my tooth for a few days now, especially when I eat something cold. My wife told me to ask around, so I thought I'd find out what actually causes tooth pain. Is it always a cavity or can it be something else?

Haan na, tooth pain is literally the worst thing ever, you can't even sleep properly. Actually, hidden cavities or a deep infection in the gums are the most common causes. Don't delay, go see a dentist soon before it increases.

I hope your pain gets better soon. It is usually caused by cavities, gum swelling, or sometimes a wisdom tooth coming in. Please take care and try to get a quick dental checkup.

Beta, tooth pain usually happens when worm or decay enters the tooth because of sweet foods. Press a clove near the hurting tooth for temporary relief, and go to the town hospital to get it cleaned by the doctor.

Most toothaches are due to food stuck between teeth or enamel erosion. Brush twice daily and use a simple salt-water gargle to keep the area clean. It is best to spend a few hundred rupees on a dental clinic visit now rather than paying for a costly root canal later.

If you are lifting heavy weights, you might be clenching your teeth too hard, causing micro-fractures and pain. Also, too many sugary pre-workout drinks can cause cavities. Get a dentist to look at it, and check your lifting habits too.
