What causes thyroid issues in females?

My periods have been irregular and I'm always tired, so my doctor suggested checking for thyroid issues. What are the common causes of thyroid issues specifically in females?

Females have to deal with periods, pregnancy, and menopause, and then the thyroid decided it wanted to join the party too! It's just hormonal overload, but easily managed, so don't worry.

I totally get it, dealing with sudden weight changes and hair fall is so frustrating for us. Thyroid issues are mostly linked to our natural estrogen fluctuations, so please don't be hard on yourself.

It is super common in women due to our unique hormone cycles and pregnancy phases! Just a quick checkup and proper diet will help you get back on track. Stay positive! 😊

Hormone shifts make women highly prone to thyroid issues. It is very common and treatable.

It is actually due to auto-immune triggers and high stress from managing work and home, yaar. Almost every second woman in my office has some thyroid variation these days.
