What causes throbbing pain and temperature sensitivity in a tooth?

One of my back teeth has started giving me a lot of trouble. It's a constant throbbing pain, and it's super sensitive to anything hot or cold. What could be causing this specific kind of tooth pain and temperature sensitivity?

Don't bother applying random things like cloves or pain-relief gels you see online; they only mask the issue. If you have throbbing and sensitivity, there is likely a deep cavity or root infection. Go to a dentist and get an X-ray.

I totally get it, tooth sensitivity with a throbbing pain is absolutely miserable and makes it hard to even drink water. Please try to avoid very hot or cold liquids for now. It is really best to get it looked at soon.

Oh, tooth infections can be so scary because they are so close to the brain. I hope you are keeping track of the pain and don't have any swelling in your cheek. Please seek professional help quickly so it doesn't get worse.

In my younger days, I used to ignore these small toothaches until they became unbearable. It is usually a sign of decay reaching the nerve. A quick visit to the dentist will solve it easily, so don't worry.

Please see a dentist immediately. I delayed treating my sensitive tooth, and the infection spread to my jaw bone, which ended up requiring a major root canal and surgical drainage. Don't make the same mistake.

Just like managing chronic conditions, dental health needs regular checkups too. This kind of pain usually means the pulp is inflamed. Book a dental follow-up so they can find the exact cause and treat it properly.
