What causes the pain in the lower left abdomen?

I've been having this sharp, cramping pain specifically on the lower left side of my abdomen for the past day. It's making me quite uncomfortable. What could cause pain in the lower left abdomen?

Honestly, I got so scared last year when this happened to me. I thought it was some major kidney issue, but after a checkup, it just turned out to be heavy gas and a bit of constipation. Don't stress too much, just keep an eye on it for a day.

I was just reading about this yesterday because my cousin had similar pain. Apparently, the lower left side has a lot to do with your large intestine, so things like mild infection or even basic muscle pull can trigger it. It is actually quite common.

If you have a busy schedule, don't waste days guessing the cause. It could be anything from acidity to an infection. Better to take out one hour, get an ultrasound done, and get a clear picture from a doc rather than ignoring it.

I always go to Manipal Hospital for any stomach issues. The specialists there always say that left-side pain shouldn't be ignored as it could be diverticulitis or pelvic issues. Please go to a proper clinic and ask your doctor to explain the scan reports clearly.

Look, lower left pain is usually either gas, a mild hernia, or some bowel issue. There is no point searching symptoms online and getting paranoid. Just book an appointment with a gastroenterologist today and get it sorted.

I am actually experiencing this since yesterday morning and it feels like a dull ache. Is it normal for the pain to increase slightly after having heavy meals? I am a bit hesitant to go to a clinic alone.

I totally get it, stomach pain can make you feel so uneasy and restless. Just try to lie down and rest for a bit. If the pain is sharp or if you feel feverish, please don't wait at home and see a physician immediately.
