What causes testicle pain?

I'm having a dull ache in one of my testicles, and it's making me quite uncomfortable. It's been there for a couple of days now. What are the general causes of testicle pain?

I had mild testicle pain last year, and I was really hesitant to talk about it. In my case, it was diagnosed as a varicocele after a doctor's checkup. I can't say what's causing yours, but I highly recommend seeing a urologist instead of waiting.

My elder uncle suggested taking rest and drinking buttermilk to reduce 'body heat' when I had mild discomfort. However, for any testicle pain, I strongly believe in visiting a doctor immediately. It is a very sensitive area and needs professional medical evaluation.

My brother went through this recently and was too shy to say anything at first. It turned out to be a simple fluid-filled sac that was easily managed once he saw a urologist. Please encourage whoever is facing this to see a doctor without any awkwardness.

Bro, if you have sudden or severe pain down there, do not ignore it at all. It could be something like testicular torsion, which is a medical emergency and needs immediate hospital care. Go to the ER or a doctor right away.

Testicle pain can happen due to a strain from lifting heavy weights, an infection, or fluid accumulation. Don't buy random over-the-counter painkillers. Go to a local clinic and get a physical exam or an ultrasound done as advised by the doctor.

I got sharp pain there after a heavy leg day at the gym. Turned out to be a mild groin strain affecting the nerves, but I still got an ultrasound done just to be 100% sure. Trust me, just go to a urologist and get it checked.

My teenage son complained of pain in that area after playing football. We immediately took him to a general surgeon to rule out any internal injury or torsion. Please do not delay if a child or young adult complains of this; get a professional opinion.
