Haan na, sudden back pain can be so painful that you can't even stand up. It is usually a sudden muscle catch or a disc issue because of a wrong movement. Please lie down on a flat surface and consult a doctor if the pain doesn't reduce with rest.

For severe sudden back pain, I always prefer going to a major hospital with a dedicated spine or orthopedic department. It can be caused by a disk herniation, muscle spasm, or even a kidney stone. Ask the specialist clearly for an MRI if the pain is radiating down your leg, so you get an accurate diagnosis.

In my experience, sudden sharp back pain is often a basic muscle catch from a sudden wrong movement or cold breeze. Resting on a flat mattress usually heals it in a couple of days. Don't worry too much, but don't force yourself to do heavy work right now.

When I had sudden sharp lower back pain last year, it turned out to be a severe muscle spasm from lifting a heavy bucket. I had to take complete bed rest for three days and use a prescribed muscle relaxant gel. Since back pain can have many causes, a doctor's consultation is best.

I just bent down to pick up a pen and my back went 'click' with a sharp pain—welcome to middle age! It's usually a muscle spasm or a disc protesting against our sedentary lifestyle. Rest and a good pain relief spray are my best friends now, but do see a doc if you can't walk.

Sudden sharp lower back pain is very painful and scary. Please rest on a firm bed and avoid any bending or heavy lifting. Hope you feel better soon, and please do consult a local doctor if the pain is severe.

Managing high blood pressure has made me very cautious about physical strain and lifestyle habits. Sudden sharp back pain can be a muscle tear or even connected to internal issues like kidney stones. Keep an eye on your general health parameters and get a doctor to examine your back.

Please don't start trying random stretching exercises or applying heat packs you read about online, as that can make a herniated disc much worse. Sudden sharp back pain needs a proper clinical examination. Go see an orthopedist or a physiotherapist first to know what is actually wrong.
