What causes stomach acidity?

Been struggling with a lot of acidity lately, especially after meals, and my throat often burns. I've tried some home remedies but it's not going away. What causes stomach acidity?

Don't worry, stomach acidity is very common and usually happens when we skip meals or eat too much spicy food late at night. Try drinking a glass of cold milk or coconut water, it will soothe your stomach instantly. Just take care and try to eat on time.

At my age, I have realized that our stomachs cannot handle heavy food after sunset. Acidity is just the stomach struggle to digest what we eat. Eat a light dinner by 8 PM and you will see how easily this problem goes away.

I used to ignore my severe acidity for years by just popping random antacids, until it turned into a bad stomach infection. Don't make the same mistake of self-treating forever. Get a proper doctor's checkup done to find the root cause.

Stomach acidity is mostly a result of our terrible lifestyle—too much coffee, sleeping right after dinner, and eating oily junk. Cut down on caffeine, don't lie down immediately after eating, and walk for 10 minutes. If it still doesn't go, consult a doc.

Acidity is often a sign of a restless mind and eating in a hurry. Try to eat your food peacefully, chewing slowly, and stay positive throughout the day. Take care of your inner peace, and your digestion will improve naturally.

In most cases I see, acidity is caused by long gaps between meals or dehydration. Keep drinking water throughout the day and have small snacks like almonds or fruits. If nothing helps, a quick visit to a GP will clear it up.

Acidity is the heavy price we pay for loving spicy biryani and late-night cheese bursts! Our stomachs just can't keep up with the cravings sometimes. Having cold buttermilk (chaas) with roasted cumin really helps cool down the fire.

Arey, I used to get crazy acidity every day because of late-night coding and skipping breakfast. Honestly, once I started eating regular meals and stopped drinking tea on an empty stomach, it totally disappeared. Simple lifestyle fix, bro.

Chewing a few fennel seeds (saunf) after meals or drinking warm cumin water helps a lot with mild acidity. But if you have severe burning pain that goes up to your throat daily, please see a doctor because it could be a serious ulcer issue.

I had chronic acidity and went to a specialist at a reputed hospital. He explained that my stomach was producing excess acid due to a mild H. pylori infection, which resolved with a short course of medication. Please ask your doctor clearly for a proper diagnosis.

It is mainly caused by skipping breakfast, stress, and spicy food. Drinking plenty of water and eating on time helps a lot.
