What causes stage 3 kidney failure?

My father recently found out he has stage 3 kidney failure, and it was a shock to our family. We are trying to figure out what might have caused this. What are the common reasons for kidneys to fail at this stage?

Stage 3 kidney chronic disease (which is moderate damage) is mostly caused by long-term high blood sugar or uncontrolled high blood pressure wearing down the kidney filters. Sometimes, long-term use of certain medicines also does this. Don't panic, with proper meds and low-sodium diet, it can be managed well.

My father was just told he has stage 3 kidney disease and I am so anxious. Did anyone else's parents have this, and did their kidney function stay stable for a long time? We are very worried about it progressing to dialyses.

I know how terrifying it is when you hear terms like 'kidney failure'—your mind immediately goes to the worst case scenario. But please know stage 3 is moderate damage and is often manageable. It is usually caused by long-standing diabetes or BP, so managing those is the best way forward.

Do not fall for online videos claiming some magic herb can cure stage 3 kidney disease. Those herbs can actually overload your kidneys and make it worse. The root cause is almost always diabetes or high BP, so get a proper prescription from a real nephrologist.

Arey, don't think it's the end of the world! Stage 3 just means your kidneys are working a bit slow, like my old scooter. It is usually because of too much sweet tea or high BP. Just cut the sweets, follow the doc, and keep smiling!

If you are managing stage 3, keep an eye on testing costs because you will need regular blood and urine tests. Go to government labs or look for packages online to save money. Managing your blood pressure with budget-friendly generic medicines will help save kidney function.

Kidney issues are very delicate and stage 3 requires expert monitoring. It is mostly caused by chronic lifestyle conditions damaging the blood vessels. Please do not delay and consult a kidney specialist immediately to keep it from worsening.
