What causes small cell lung cancer?

My neighbour was just diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, and he's never been a smoker, which is surprising. I always thought lung cancer was only for smokers. What are the other risk factors or causes for this type of cancer?

While I usually focus on managing my sugar intake and diet, I know that small cell lung cancer is almost exclusively caused by heavy, long-term tobacco smoking. Protecting our body from toxic habits is just as vital as managing diabetes.

Please don't get too scared reading things online, but yes, active and passive smoking are the main causes. If you or anyone close to you has a persistent cough or breathing issues, don't ignore it. Let's get it checked by a proper doctor soon.

In any major health concern, regular medical checkups are key to catching things early. Small cell lung cancer is highly linked to smoking and radon exposure. Just like thyroid management, regular follow-ups with a doctor are crucial for proper screening.

This type of lung cancer is very aggressive and strongly connected to smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke. For your own safety, if there is any chest pain, severe cough, or blood in sputum, please go straight to a hospital.

Haan na, tobacco smoking hi iska sabse bada cause hai actually. Aur jo log smoke nahi karte unhe passive smoking se bhi thoda khatra rehta hai. Isliye public places me smoke se bachna hi best hai.
