What causes side pain on the left side?

For the last few days, I've been feeling a sharp, aching pain on my left side, right under my ribs. It gets worse if I bend or twist my body. My wife is concerned, and I'm wondering what could be the reason for this left-sided pain.

I dealt with left side pain for months and it was diagnosed as diverticulitis after an ultrasound. A realistic tip is to track if the pain increases after eating and note your bowel movements. Go see a gastroenterologist for a proper diagnosis.

I tried hot water bottles, ajwain water, and avoiding heavy meals, but my left side pain turned out to be a small kidney stone. While home remedies can soothe mild gas, you need a doctor's advice and a scan to actually treat a stone.

Left-sided abdominal or flank pain can indicate kidney stones, spleen issues, or colon inflammation. For your own safety, please do not ignore this or self-medicate with painkillers. Consult a doctor and get a professional opinion.

If it is a mild muscular stitch or gas, a slow, gentle walk can actually help relieve the pressure. However, left side pain can also be due to internal organs, so make sure you get a doctor's nod before resuming any heavy workouts or runs.

I was researching left side pain and found out it can be related to the descending colon, left kidney, or even ovary-related issues in women. It is quite complex, so getting a proper diagnosis from a physician is the smartest choice.

Sometimes drinking warm water with mint juice can help soothe the left-side pain if it is caused by simple gas or indigestion. However, if the pain is severe or shooting, you must visit a qualified doctor as it is not wise to delay.

Haan na, left side pain can make you feel so uncomfortable and worried. It could be because of simple gas acidity, or sometimes kidney stones. Better to get a doctor's checkup done soon to find the exact reason.

When I had pain in my left lower abdomen, I went to a reputed hospital and the doctor got a blood and urine test done. It is best to ask your doctor clearly whether it is a kidney stone, bowel issue, or muscle strain so you get the right therapy.
