What causes seronegative rheumatoid arthritis?

My joints are often stiff and painful, especially in the mornings. My doctor said it could be 'seronegative rheumatoid arthritis', which I didn't know existed. What are the causes behind this type of arthritis?

I have seronegative RA, which means my joint pain and swelling are real but my blood tests like RF and anti-CCP always come back negative. Don't let negative reports confuse you; trust your symptoms. A good rheumatologist will diagnose it based on physical exams and scans.

Seronegative RA is caused by the immune system attacking the joints, even though standard rheumatoid factor antibody tests are negative. Diagnosis is based on clinical symptoms, joint stiffness, and imaging studies. A qualified rheumatologist's assessment is absolutely essential.

I totally get it, it is so frustrating when you are in pain but the lab tests say everything is normal. Seronegative arthritis is a real autoimmune condition and your pain is not imaginary. Please find a supportive rheumatologist who understands this.

While the exact cause of seronegative RA is autoimmune and genetic, managing inflammation is very important. I have found that cutting down on sugar and processed foods, and focusing on an anti-inflammatory vegetarian diet helps support my joints. Always follow your medical doctor's advice first.

I am so anxious about my joint pain because my blood reports are all normal, and I keep reading scary things online. It is comforting to know that seronegative RA is manageable. Please stay positive, we will get through this with the right doctor's help.

I use my smartwatch to track my daily step count and sleep quality, as poor sleep triggers my joint flares. Seronegative RA can be triggered by genetic factors or environmental stressors. Keeping a digital log of your symptoms and joint swelling can help your doctor immensely.

Keeping the joints moving is vital in any arthritis to prevent stiffness. If your specialist permits, try doing very gentle, low-impact walking or swimming. Movement helps maintain joint flexibility and reduces pain naturally.
