What causes plantar fasciitis pain?

My husband has been complaining about severe pain in his foot, especially the arch and heel, and he struggles to walk sometimes. The doctor said it sounds like plantar fasciitis. What are the common reasons for plantar fasciitis pain?

Honestly, it is mostly due to bad footwear and constant pressure on your feet. If you are walking a lot on hard metro floors with flat shoes, that thick band of tissue under your foot gets inflamed. Get orthotic insoles immediately, they make a massive difference.

I was just reading up on this because my dad has been complaining about sharp heel pain lately. From what I found, it is basically micro-tears in the tendon from sudden physical activity or standing for too long. Apparently, tight calf muscles also play a huge role in pulling that heel tissue.

People will tell you to roll a frozen bottle or do random stretches, but don't just blindly follow internet tips for heel pain. You need an actual orthopedic doctor or physical therapist to diagnose it properly because it could be a bone spur. Get a professional opinion first before buying expensive shoes.

I am just starting to experience this terrible heel pain in the mornings, and it is so painful to take even the first few steps. Is it really because of plantar fasciitis, or could it be something else? Please let me know what kind of doctor I should consult for this.

I gained some weight recently because of my late-night biryani cravings and food deliveries, and suddenly my heels started aching like crazy. The doctor told me the sudden extra load on my feet triggered this plantar fasciitis. Now I have to watch my diet and walk carefully.
