What causes pain with urination?
For the past day, I've had a burning feeling and pain when I urinate. It's quite unpleasant and I'm not sure what's causing it. Could it be a simple infection, or something else I should worry about?

Bro, I had this last month and it was literally torture to use the washroom. For me, it was just a severe urinary tract infection because of low water intake. Drink lots of water right now but definitely visit a clinic to get some antibiotics.
This burning sensation often happens due to excessive heat in the body or minor bacterial growth. Along with your doctor's medicine, practicing sheetali pranayama and drinking fresh coconut water can help cool down your system. Do not neglect this though, proper medical check is very important.
I totally understand how scary it feels when it suddenly starts hurting down there, your mind goes to the worst possible scenarios. Please take a deep breath, in 90% of cases it is just a simple, easily curable infection. Just get a quick doctor's consult to put your mind at ease.
Instead of buying random expensive syrups, just go to a local diagnostic center and get a Urine Routine and Microscopy test. It costs barely 150 to 200 rupees and will tell you exactly if there are pus cells or infection. Take that report to a local govt hospital or family doctor to get cheap and correct treatment.
Usually, pain during urination points to a UTI, but it can also be due to kidney stones or irritation from certain soaps. Drink plenty of water to flush things out, but please get a proper urine culture done before taking any antibiotics. Unnecessary pills will just build resistance.
Ghar pe thoda dhyan do. Start drinking barley water (jau ka pani) and avoid spicy food for a couple of days, it brings down the burning. But yes, side-by-side, visit your family doctor for a quick consultation because if it is a bacterial issue, only proper medicine will clear it.
It is so exhausting and embarrassing to deal with this, especially when you have to run to the washroom every ten minutes in pain. I felt so low and irritated when I had it. Please don't suffer silently, reach out to a gynecologist or physician, they deal with this daily.
A lot of people ask about this here. Most of the time it is a simple bladder infection, yeast infection, or sometimes even small stones passing. Drink enough water to keep the urine light yellow, and see a general physician for a quick checkup today.
I literally just finished my antibiotic course for this yesterday. My doctor told me it was a bacterial infection, and if I had waited longer, it could have spread to the bladder. The relief was almost instant after starting the medicines, so please see a urologist or general doc.

Omg, this is literally the worst feeling. In our hostels, we get this so often because of public washrooms and not drinking enough water. Actually, cranberry juice helped me a bit but a single dose of antibiotic from the campus doc is what actually cured it.
Does anyone else also feel a sharp pinching sensation right at the end of urinating? I am experiencing this since yesterday and it is making me super anxious. I have booked a doctor's appointment for tomorrow morning but really hoping it is just dehydration.
Beta, at this age, we see these issues quite often. In men, sometimes an enlarged prostate can also cause blockages and pain, while in younger people it is mostly infections. Don't worry too much, just consult a good doctor and they will fix it easily.
